Specific Job Related Duties

  • Perform work in a Biosafety Level-4 environment

  • Perform assays according to Standard Operating Procedures

  • Under general supervision, performsroutineandnon-routineresearch assignmentsandexperimentsof moderatecomplexity.

  • Plans, coordinates,provides setupandconducts standard researchexperimentsfollowinggeneral technical instructions.

  • Preparesbiological assays and conducts quantitative and qualitativeanalysis.

  • Makes modifications toresearchproceduresas determinedbyPrincipal Investigator.

  • Maintains records of all tests performedand datacollectedand provides preliminaryanalysis ofresults.

  • Performs quality control checks an study paperwork

  • Assists in the compilationand tabulation of dataandanalysis of finaldata.

  • Ensurestheaccurate assembly, calibration,operationandmodificationof a varietyoflaboratoryequipmentas definedbyappropriate guidelines.

  • Maintains labfor animal and environmental safetycompliance.

  • Maintains lab inventoryofsuppliesandequipment.

  • Performsliteraturesearches asoutlinedbythe Principal Investigator.

  • Mayprovideguidancetojunior researchstaff.

  • Adheres tointernal controlsestablishedfor department.

  • Performsrelated duties as required.
