Min Qualifications Bachelor's degree and five years experience as clinical research coordinator or equivalent experience. JOB DESCRIPTION: The Senior Clinical Research Coordinator manages clinical research projects for Principal Investigators by gathering patient data via methods specified in the study protocol. Provides complex administrative duties in support of the study to insure compliance with regulations. Salary Range

Maximum Salary $24.03 Per Hour

Specific Job Related Duties

  • Applies knowledge in contributing to Good Clinical Practice activities and/or regulatory activities

  • Supervises and assists with preparation and submission of IRB and other regulatory documents, and draft communications with sponsors as needed

  • Attend and participate in investigator meetings and study meetings

  • Review goals and requirements of new protocols and coordinate study initiation

  • Identify and recruit study subjects, collect data and monitor enrollment goals

  • Assess staffing needs and recommend or implement changes as needed

  • Participate in protocol initiation visits

  • Plan, design and prepare source documentation documents

  • Develop assessment tools and teaches others on the team how to use them

  • Develop procedures for collecting and storing samples

  • Assist in processing and shipping samples per protocol and maintaining supplies

  • Maintain accurate source documentation and forms per protocol

  • Conducts reviews of on-going studies, oversees quality assurance and maintains good relationships with other coordinators and team members

  • Precepts and trains new clinical research staff and provides education on scientific aspects of the studies

  • Provides performance management for staff under direction of the PI

  • Addresses communication processes as needed for the protocol

  • Elicits relevant data from outside sources

  • Assists with budget preparations, and may monitor ledgers and billing

  • Monitors recruitment and enrollment and change recruitment strategies when needed; mentor and train research personnel re recruitment and regarding recruitment and enrollment

  • Monitors participants’ lab results and notifies the PI of lab findings

  • Serves as a role model for clinical research staff

  • Obtain informed consent from study participants and document appropriately

  • Adhere to internal controls and expectations of the department and institution

Preferred Work Experience

  • 10 Years of Clinical Research Coordinator experience.
